Though his thoughts changed after establishment of Pakistan and he wanted to have a country with Islamic principles but with tolerance. So you can say that's a mix of both secularism and Islamic teachings.

Now what's happening now a days is this that some guys take Islamic quotes of quaid e Azam and try to prove that his vision was for an Islamic state and then seculars do the same. That's right ,the vision of quaid e Azam was for Islamic state but a state with real Islam in it and with tolerance ,as Islam teaches tolerance and Prophet's (peace be upon him) life was full of tolerance and respect.
