I took my interview on 23rd januray. here is this in detail, please do comment. It was friday, and I was the fifth & last candidate to appear. Duration was 18 to 20 minutes.

Me: Assalam o Alikum Sir,
Chairman: Wa alikum salam, please tshreef rakhain. Yeh kia ap nay itna kuch uthaya hua ha
Sir, these two are research works, and these files contain my achievements ( Here i forgot to tell about the file containing my articles, a blunder)
Ch, Man: Ok we will talk about these later on , introduce your self
Me...Introduced and Ch, Man seemed to be impressed. when I reached at my achievement during intro forgot, tried to remember but chair man said ok good achievements ( could not tell the crux, why do i want to join civil service)

Ch Man: can I have a look at this research work? and he stood up
Me to stood up and handed that to him
Ch Man: Ok tell briefly what was it
Me: sir to know the attitude of educated male and female & those fo the uneducated ones towards GAD and the most interesting finding was that men were in more favour of gender equality that women. ( Syed Masood Alam Rizvi spoke : really and i said Yes sir)

Ch, Man: Nazia you have mentioned here an unfortunate event of your life( that was in psychological)
Me: I told that briefly
Ch, Man:Are you over now
Me: Yes, of course Sir (smiling) I involved my self in other healthy activities to get out of it.
(Chairman handed me over to Syed Tariq Ali Bokhari)

Syed Tariq Ali Bokhari: Did you took sample as a random

ME; Sir you are talking about the same research
Syed Tariq Ali Bokhari:Yes
Me: No Sir, we used purposive sampling technique and for educated people they should have been atl graduate. and those primary or illitrate were taken as uneducated. Thus the sample was defined.
Syed Tariq Ali Bokhari: Did you survey the people
Me: Sir, all the subjects were interviewed, their responses recorded and they have been given as it is in this.
Syed Tariq Ali Bokhari:What's your view about situation in FATA?
Me: SIr the problem in Fata has its roots in Afghanistan, and its solution also lies there. govt has done efforts in this regard. with policy shift in US and the establishment of an envoy for Afghanistan & Pakistan ( this was the top news of today's dawnt that a special envoy has been made for) situation will improve insha Allah.

Syed Tariq Ali Bokhari: Dr Qadeer has been confined. SHould that confinement have been there?
Me: Sir, Dr Qadeer is an hero, so when we think at personal level we feel that it should not have been there with our national herobut when it comes to political exigency, there is no harm when Dr Qadeer has certain liberties also.

Syed Tariq Ali Bokhari: What about UNSC expansion and why Pakistan opposes it?
Me: Sir, veto power is a violation of democratic principles and is maintaing the power structure of early 90s.
Syed Tariq Ali Bokhari:Why Pakistan opposes it?
ME: Sir am not clear about it ( uff godf,it was because India wants UNSC member ship) ( when I said sorry, I saw a victorious expression on the face of bukhari sahib as if he had thrashed his fist on the table saying THATS IT SIR. while asking question, he had leaned forward, but now he immediately relaxed to the back of the chair and shifted me to Masood Alam Rizvi Sahib.)

Syed Masood Alam Rizvi: Your pictures here are in scarf but now (he smiled) Is this a step towards modernism?
Me: Sir, I wore scarf even during my university life and like it. but I want to creep into the roots of the society (was to say system) 2ndly when the injunction of purda was there it was because Kafirs used to tease muslim women but now there is a shift scarf has been a taboo, in france there has been a campaign against it.Though i got encouragemetn yet sometimes felt people were hesitant to talk to me that I may be conservative, I do not want to obstruct my self at the sake of fundamentalism or extremism.

Syed Masood Alam Rizvi: Whats this women studies?
Sir: a multidisciplinary subject with all inclusive approach to integrate women into ( i stammered) to make them active contributors to develpment.

Syed Masood Alam Rizvi: What about status of Pakistani women?
Sir: we are at a better place than the past, but still there is a long way to go.
Syed Masood Alam Rizvi: Some people here oppose women quota in civil services. what do you say?
Me: Sir women have certain comparative disadvantages vis a vis men, their competitors. so it should be maintained. I was to speak further, when he started looking to chairman, I was silent.
Syed Masood Alam Rizvi : (he had put the first question in Urdu which i started to answer in Eng but then instantly utter oh you questioned me in Urdu and so started my reply in urdu but after one or two sentences again got in english at which he put the question) Did you read in English Medium School?

Me: No SIr I read in taat school and my matriculate too is in urdu
Syed Masood Alam Rizvi: adn you did your BA private. so your masters alone is formal education
Me Yes sir
Chairman: tell me about your brothers what they do
Me: told about all one by one
Chairman: DId your parents also shift to Lahore?
Me : NO sir
Chairman: where are brothers livign?
Me: told
Chairman thankyou
Me: Thank you Sir, it was a pleasure to meet you.
I saw chairman was bent upon my file, his face showed that he was in deep thought when I left the room.
