The fact that I remember these quotes and scenes is not because I like them so much, but because I
dislike them so intensely.
Anything from Samuel Beckett or Brecht is my favorite.... Some of my recent favorites include God of Small Things, by Arundhati Roy and Roots, by Alex Haley. In Urdu, I'd read Faiz, Ghalib and Manto on any given day.... besides many others of course :-)
