Apart from open merit they have 10% reserved quota for females as well. So no one can reject you as far as reserved seats are concerned.
Secondly females induction was an issue some 6 to 8 years back. The main reason was not as such their suitability but the working environment. There was a time when a number of females resigned pointing out particular problems relating to the working culture. Then there were suggestions to stop hiring females at all. But afterwards the problem was handled the other way round.
Things changed as the overall culuture changed with increased proportion of females.
As per the reports, in past years the number of females has dramatically increased. They further say that now very well qualified ladies are joining agencies.

Does anybody know the issue?? Does anybody know of any female ever selected as AD ISI?

You can find a whole lot of them as far as main offices are concerned. However at present they are not posted at small stations. This is good since once someone has joined, she won't have to worry about postings. If someone is hired say for Isb center she will probably stay there through out her job.
