Yes, there are some rules concerning military pesonnels( officer cadre only)who wish to be part of civil bureaucracy.These are as follows:

1) There is a quota system for them. 10% has been reserved for armed forces.


2) They can be allocated only in 3 groups: POLICE SERVICE OF PAKISTAN(PSP), DMG, and FOREIGN SERVICES.


3) They are required, as per rules, to undergo only interview. They dont take written test.(They skip it).


4) The officers from armed forces can enjoy the previlege.However, these officers can serve and join Civil bureacracy on secondment. This secondment is extra relaxation for them..
