Question IR Question

Q: "president Bush s invasion of afghanistan and iraq without sound genuine reaasons has made the future of the modern natin state doubtful do u agree? give ur reasons for ur answer?"

This question can be devided into two portions. Firstly, the changes in the Amierican foreign policy after 9/11, and secondly its impacts on the nature of Modern Nation-State system.

It must be kept in mind that the present state system, wich is based on soveriegn equality, territorial integrity and non-intervention, has developed through centuries due to cahnges in the foreign policies of great powers. These changes in the policies of great powers have given the shape to the modern state system as it exists today.

We can draw two conclusions from the above analysis.

1) The state system was never like this and it has developed through centuries, so it will keep on evolving and taking new shapes and new forms,
2) Foreign policies of great powers have played a great role in shaping the modern state system, so changes in US foreign policy will definitely have some impacts on the nature and future shape of the modern state system.

Now we are asked in this question to analyse the kind and intensity of impacts on the modern state system which are likely to evolve in the near future due to the changes in the US foreign policy.

For attempting this question we must have adequate grasp over two phenomenons. First is the history, development and current status of the modern nation state system, and second is the US foreign policy after 9/11.
