Default police order 2002 @ Induction of DSPs

police and local government are provincial issues, previous govt made them federal subjects by promulgating two ordinances – the Local Government Ordinance, 2001, and the Police Order, 2002 – to make the local bodies autonomous and to “liberate” the police from bureaucratic oversight hence local government system, as well as the Police Order 2002 is protected under the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution. Therefore At present, the Police Order is a federal subject and after December 31, 2009, it will automatically become a provincial subject. after the cut-off date the provinces would be at liberty to introduce changes in the Police Order or the local government system. The provincial governors can promulgate an ordinance or the provincial assembles can pass a bill to incorporate changes or to repeal the system
