Also an inductee from army and wn i joined CSA, i was enveloped by so many questions that wt z the criterion of selection of army officers and wt procedure is foll....
and so on...?
so
i thot it appropriate to join ds forum nd acquaint all my colleagues of 37 CTP the procedure of selection for CSS...
Wellll...
There are 4 pre requisites kept in mind for the consideration of defence forces officers for their subsequent induction in CSS:
-All ACRs mst be at least Well Above Average
-OEI(Officers Efficiency Index) mst fall between 79 -80%
-Excellent grades in the professional courses
-Domicile representation
So basing on above mentioned criteria officers are selected and they are round about 600 officers who fall in this category...
So here comes the distinction and the officers ineligible for this induction.
-Officers from Technical arms including Engineers, EME and Signals
-Officers of medical corps
-Officers who have attended some foreign secondment
-First top 70 officers of each course ( a course consists of 400 officers)
Summarizing and deducting the names the career branch is left with only 100officers and for 7 seats of army 40 officers are selected who comprise selected as well as reserve...
Then Military Secretary branch in General Head Quarters distributes the officers according to their domicile and finally send signal to all selected as well as reserve officers in order to get their willingness for subsequent selection in CSS...
Finally the willing officers are called for fol:
- Psychological tests and interviews
-Group Discussion
-Command Task
-Final interview with FPSC panel

So this is the complete procedure how an army/navy or air officer is inducted in civ services...


Being part of 37th CTP it gives me great pleasure nd lookin forward to becoming the colleagues for life...
