I think we are forgetting the real crux of issue which hinders in the way of women empowerment. be it the patriarchal society of yesterday or today, we had and we have the 'honor factor' of our female foke. A religion can gives us principles, if they are not implemented in a society, then there mere appearance in all the holy books has no meaning. I think, a society where gender differenc is at high, no women can dare to take initiatives.

(Please don't take only the cases of urban societies, also think about the atrocities which the women are facing in tribal societies)

women can not escape from the greedy shackles of men. unless and untill, there is a society based on ethics, which seems a utopia, in the current economic and power exploitation given to us by new world order at the cost of our values system.

can we challenge the new world order, or can we create a new world order, or shoud we go to break our status quo.

the real debate should be about....dogmatism vs pragmatism, enlightened moderation vs conservatism.... and many like vs's.
