Bureaucracy Is The Soul Of Government

Public Servants (bureaucrats) are the souls in the body of governance and good governance is to run any institution in proper defined manners towards positive objectives. It is the main cause of success of any department. while in public administration, people always require to be driven by some leaders. Because public is always busy in their personal affairs.

Without public servants, the nation become headless and the departments become dead. They are there to cover the mistakes of the politicians as well. The basic governance of the government is based upon the constitution of the country. This constitution is made working through the servants. They make it running smoothly and make the people to get adapted to it.

When sketched and approved by the Government it is not constitution, rule or ordinance but just only words. Further these words become announcement. But when it reaches in the hands of bureaucrats who make it to be followed, then it comes in the shape of real ordinance.

Public servants also protect the nation when in the days of mutiny, the political leaders leave the nation as an orphan and just try to save their skins. So it is the role of public servants to maintain coordination and harmony between government and public. As they are the spokesmen of the government then a big reponsibility lie upon their shoulders.

Sometimes they are entangled in a complex situation when they come under a big pressure espacially from political leaders. In these situations they are tried to be driven by the political leaders for their personal political benefits on some matters. In these situations they should be firm on their faith and not loose it. In such circumstances the government servants should judge the matter themselves and find out what is the right way. They should seek the help of their seniors in the matters and should justify their side.

When anyone becomes a bureaucrat then he possesses a hot seat and should always be concious and responsible.
