@Sociologist PU

I fully endorse your suggestions. However there are some problems that are faced in medical field that make your suggestions hard to implement, for example:

1. You suggested "the govt allow the posting of them near their home".

It is a difficult, because firstly doctors in general prefer posting in big cities or big hospitals. But there is problem that government don't have much vaccancies. So other option is to post those doctors to rural areas in dispenceries or small health units, which normally doctors avoid, as there is constant struggle among those doctors to get posted in big cities. This phenomena is more problematic for female doctors. Now even if one is living in a rural area, he/she prefer to practice in big cities. Secondly, in the rural areas there is scarcity of necessary medical equipment, thus even if a doctor wants to practice there, it is very difficult for him/her.

Your second and third suggestions are also commendable, however this is a long term phenomena, we have to wait for this.

4. Your fourth suggestion is also good one. But however as you know, most female doctors are gynaecologists, and patients could come any time (pregnancy and delivery related), so she has to come to treat those patients at any hour of the day. However this suggestion could be rationalized (Any lady doctor would suggest much better).
