Al-qaeda was the direct fall out of 1979 Afghanistan war... I have tried to quote the authentic sources... For example to augment my point about the creation of Al-qaeda, just read the source that i 've quoted (Mr. Musharraf's book) & if you are interested in a visceral postmortem then read the entire chapter....

I have tried to explain the creation of Alqaeda & in this regard I have quoted an authentic report "How the cIA created Usama Bin Laden?" This is a report published by CIA fact book & widely commented upon by BBC... Just go through the following address to read more about it....(source BBC Urdu’s Service http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/8046577.stm)

Regarding the individual cases that you have cited to support you objection, my opinion is second to Mr. Lord Avlon because as a general rule "No law is perfect... Exceptions are always there"

Taliban (or Tehrik=e=Taliban) are the umbrella group of alqaeda... In this regard i will only advise you to study the profile of Taliban leaders... if there is any thing common between them all it is that all of them had participated in Afghan Jihad along with the other fighter... so they share the same psychological & social nexus of the Alqaeda...

Last but not the least, this is an ongoing conflict therefore nothing is ultimate & final... the commentary will keep on changing until the dynamics will keep on changing....

@ Lord Avlon

thanks brother for offering your mature commentary upon my article.... thank you..
Here you describe the Taliban (Afghani) and Tehrik-e-Taliban (Pakistani) into the same category. In fact, Afghani Taliban several times disowned Tehrik-e-Taliban (Pakistan), as you could find so many statements of Mullah Omer against them because they are targeting Muslims at mosques and other public places in Pakistan. The Taliban Movement after 1995 in Afghanistan was labeled as the uprising of Islam by even some moderate scholars because they never targeted their Muslim fellows in their country (except their views about the women education and their actions against other religions). To sum up, Pakistani Taliban (belongs to Mehsud tribe) are the agents of external enemies of Pakistan including India, as according to the intelligence reports, most of the members of this group are recruited on monthly salaries/payments or they are doing some kind of job to earn money; therefore, their activities could not be associated with Jihad or Islam whatsoever.
