Dear Folks,

The assertion that Pakistan is a security state which necessitates to have a "strong" army is undoubted. But would anybody bother to relate the criteria of a strong army.
A strong army is one which is professionally and technically strong.Army can maintain its strength as long as it refrains from unprofessional affairs.A strong army is never a political force which dictates the politics of country.Army indulgence in politics and civil organizations only weakens it from within.Political indulgence decays and degenerates army as an instituition.
Pakistan is a security state and so are all world major powers.USA is now spending hefty amounts on her security but US army never indulged in Politics.
The biggest motivation of Pak Army indulgence in politics is lust orf power.Security reasons, corrupt politicians,so called anarchy of East Pakistan are lies which have been fabricated to befool the people.
East Pak debacle and loss of Siachin are sorrow tales of army failure and decaying.Pakistan would not have suffered from Dacca fall if a politician would have ruled us instead of Ayub.Politics desperately requires vision, foresightedness and shrewedness are qualities which generals are always wanting.
