Default December

December
The December wind chills the bone
Another walk in the park alone
Another empty feeling
Empty feeling in my soul.

Every couple that I pass on the street
Brings back memories
Of you
Beside me.

Hanging on to hope
Drowning in pain
Watching my life
Watching my life
Wash down the drain.

The December wind chills the bone.
Bleeding in disguise
Silently
Quietly
Masking the shame of being alone
Dying
Slowly
Alone.

I've burned out all the lights
That once divided my days and nights
Now my world is dark
It is dark
And very cold.

The December wind chills the bone.
