Pakistan and India on Saturday exchanged lists of their nuclear installations and prisoners in jails.

According to the Foreign Office, the exchange of lists between the two countries take place every year on January 1 and July 1.

The lists have been provided by both parties to Indian High Commission in Islamabad and Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi respectively.

The exchange of lists was made under the Agreement on the Prohibition of Attack against Nuclear Installations and Facilities, inked on December 31, 1988.

The deal came into effect on January 27, 1991, and the first exchange took place on January 1, 1992.
