kam-nazar daikh hawa ki aahatt
kis ki khusbhu mai basi aati hay
kon saa aks hay jis ki khaatir
aankh aaiyna bani jaati hay
kis tarah chaand achanak jhukk ker

sard shaakhon say lipat jaata hay
kis tarah rang-e-chaman
ik chehray mai simatt jaata hay
seal-e-amwaaj-e-tamanna kaisay
saahil-e-dil say palat jaata hay
aur kis tor say tay hota hay
lerrkharratay huway taaron ka safar
aaj ki shab
bay-hunar aaj ki shab
mujhay jee bhar kay ussay yaad to ker lainay day
