Well, i would recommend you GRACE hotel, which is a few minute walk from shimla pahari towards railway station at Empress road. It is a little inside from main road, peaceful atmosphere, no noise and reasonable rent wise.
Or you can chose any other hotel nearby on Davis road/ Abbot road (like NATIONAL) but never stay at a hotel situated around railway station.
