Exclamation Electricity load shedding to continue till 2018: WAPDA
Officials of the Water and Power Ministry claimed that present trend of electricity load shedding will continue till 2018.

The officials told the National Assembly Standing Committee on water and power today that electricity demand will come at par with supply in 2018.

Wapda Chairman said the demand will rise up to 130 thousand megawatts by 2030.

However, he said hydro-powered projects will meet the demand by then.

He said Wapda is working hard on improving the hydro-powered projects so that power generation can rise by 50 percent.
