It is not Islam that encourage militancy rather these are distorted inferences of injunctions of Islam by low literate bigots coupled with vested interest that leads the Muslims to resort to militancy and terrorism. If we say that terrorism is just a propaganda , it would be nothing but turning blind eye to a reality.We Muslims in general and Pakistanis in particular are the biggest victim of militancy. So no one els than us needs to spell out the its root causes.

Even if we believe in conspiracy theories that USA-Isreal nexus is perpetrating terrorism in Pakistan, but those who are directly involved in commitinng such horrible acts and their mentors are not others but Muslims. Fault lies with in us and we have to accept it. State of denial leads to complacency that will prove only disastrous , in given circumstances.
