Charm strikes the sight, but merit wins the soul

Beauty surrounds us and we poor fellows having restless heart are true victims of it. During our journey of life , we delve into many beautifying experiences. Some of them are so powerful that they exert long lasting influence on us. They become unforgettable part of our memory. While there are other sorts of interaction which have capacity to become darling of moments. They never walk with us in our imagination and they have temporary impacts. Alexandar Pope is rightly pointing towards these experiences in his phrase, “Charm strikes the sight, but merit wins the soul”.
This conception is equally important in human relation. A man blessed with beauty of body and brain have many reasons to succeed in his life. The values of simplicity, honesty and sincerity of leaders are more powerful than his gay looking. The best example before us is the Nelson Mandela. People loves him not because of his impressive oratory but because of his simplicity, honesty, tolerance and sacrifice. The inner virtues have much more lasting impacts on humans than hollow dramatic displays of courage and bravery.
Human’s natural propensity of being attracted towards the serenity of nature has been considerably exploited by corporate world. They use every possible means to catch up the customers through flashy advertisemnets and handsome sales teams. Their charming and splendid outlook can capture the customers attention , but real worth lies in the quality of product that binds buyers for long time.
Through flashy words and attracting body language, one can allure a company for oneself for a while, but the real asset is the beauty of brain and purity of heart that lures the souls to sail with you in the voyage of life..
