I think, I have answered this somewhere before too, however, here was my reasoning:
- I did not have any 'charm' for living/travelling abroad as part of FSP, for I think I have travelled internationally quite a bit.
- If I was to join the Civil Service, I thought I would be of much better use here in the country.
- My degree was more pertinent to the field I have joined now.
- I think, my diplomacy skills are way too bad, for I am quite blunt and straightforward to be in FSP.
