In today's Pakistan, unlike previous Governments or the Government(s) yet to come, energy short fall will act as a crisis or opportunity. Probably this present government is not taking interest in this issue, probably they are not aware of the intensity of this problem that they will come to know in very near future at the time of election. May the best party win the election but what are the root causes of this problem and its solution. After the regime of Z.A.Bhutto when few power generation plants were installed, after that all coming governments bluntly forgot to work for the improvement of electrical generation system, on one side our power system was same old one and the requirement kept increasing and a time came when this crisis became severely serious. Behind its root causes there are few important reasons that should be defined for better understanding of the topic:

1. Non Technical staff.
2. Corruption.
3. Old equipment of power generation.
4. Old wiring for transmission of electricity.
5. Increases in oil prices throughout the world.
6. Political Influence.
7. Illegal connections.

These are the major issues that have made this one big crisis. If we as nation will not come outside this crisis this will definately lead us to severe problem.
