Hadith on Responsibility: Each one of you is a shepherd responsible for his or her flock

Narrated Ibn Umar (): The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “All of you are shepherds and each of you is responsible for his flock. A man is the shepherd of the people of his house and he is responsible. A woman is the shepherd of the house of her husband and she is responsible. Each of you is a shepherd and each is responsible for his flock.”

Narrated Al-Aswad (): I asked Aisha (): “What did the Prophet (ﷺ) do when he was with his family?” She replied, “He would do chores for his family, and when it was time for the prayer, he would go out.”

So whoever finds a place of protection or refuge should take shelter in it.”

Hadith on Oppression: Give support to the oppressed and stop the oppressor

Narrated Jabir (): Two young men were fighting, one from the Muhajirun [people of Mecca] and one from the Ansar [people of Medina]. The Muhajir called out, “Oh Muhajirun!” and the Ansari called out, “O Ansar!” The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) came out and said, “What is this call of the people of ignorance?” They said, “O Messenger of Allah! It is only two young men who were fighting; one hit the other from behind.” So the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “It does not matter. Let a man help his brother whether he is wrong or being wronged. If he is wrong, let him be stopped, for indeed that is supporting him. If he is being wronged, then help him.”
