1)They made me feel good that I had every possible resource at my disposal. (This btw is VERY important)
2)Handy reference material immediately available.

I am following this tip and you are very right in both points 1 and 2 esp point 1
PS people will criticize you that why you are gathering so many books and notes but don't listen to them.
