Sehwag smashes his way to one-day world record with stunning 219 against the Windies

India batsman Virender Sehwag has broken the record for the highest score in a one-day international, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar's 200 not out, against West Indies in Indore.
The opener passed team-mate Tendulkar's previous best, against South Africa in February last year, as he put the Windies bowling to the sword.
The 33-year-old, who was dropped on 170, passed the mark with his 23rd four of the match with India three wickets down and more than six overs to go.
Sehwag's previous ODI best was 175 against Bangladesh in Dhaka in February. The double century also took Sehwag past the 8000-run mark in ODIs.
