That's why one of our teachers always used to say, " That History may never be true except the names and the dates, and that Literature may all be true except the names and the dates".
Neither am I a student of History nor of Literature or Mythology, yet the perspective of the author also lacks substance to make one convict and agree to his words. The only difference between the two prisms - one through which we are made to view the history, and another through which the writer has synthesized his arguments - is only that the former tends to contruct the nation with a sense of dignity and self respect, whereas the latter seems hell bent upon maligning and confusing the people part of certain territory. So, in my opinion better to stick to and believe in whatever we are taught.
However, the Truth, Divine Truth, is only the Lofty Lord of all of us, The Creator of the entire humanity.
