I am taking help from Four books for precis writing:
1.Exploring the world of English by Syed Saadat shah
2.Discovering the world of English by jehangir world times
3.English Grammar by wren martin
4.The Art of Precis writing from Rabia Book House
On initial basis 3rd and 4th are best, after some time you may go a head for 1st or 2nd.
