I dont think so that this is the reason behind it.. as iam from a well recognized University. University of Karachi.. passed out in 2011. only one of my classmate is selected for the NTS his GPA is 3.5, even the friends with the gpa 3.6 and 3.8 passed from the same university, same class, and almost the same academic career were not selected.
