All perfect praise be to Allaah, The Lord of the Worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allaah, and that Muhammad (S.A.W.W) is His slave and Messenger. We ask Allaah to exalt his mention as well as that of his family and all his companions.

Jummah was the most important day for the previous nations as well. It is still considered a blessed day in many religions also. Thus, Friday is considered a special and important day right from the very beginning of humanity.

"Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle (p.b.u.h) said, "Any person who takes a bath on Friday like the bath of Janaba and then goes for the prayer (in the first hour i.e. early), it is as if he had sacrificed a camel (in Allah's cause); and whoever goes in the second hour it is as if he had sacrificed a cow; and whoever goes in the third hour, then it is as if he had sacrificed a horned ram; and if one goes in the fourth hour, then it is as if he had sacrificed a hen; and whoever goes in the fifth hour then it is as if he had offered an egg. When the Imam comes out (i.e. starts delivering the Khutba), the angels present themselves to listen to the Khutba." Bukhari,2:425, Muslim,2:582 ( Book of Friday Prayer)

The above mentioned hadith enlightens the importance of Friday. As far as the issue of washing the clothes and ROMAAL is concerend

Firstly, I think, there is nothing wrong with washing clothes on Fridays. In some contexts, the discouragement may have been in order to conserve water for those seeking to make ghusl. However, this consideration does not apply to most modern contexts.

Seconly, Its nothing wrong if you clean on your house either way. The point is make sure you house is clean of filth, dirth, smelly. Where there is filth , Allah don't shower his blessings there and his pious Angels don't like to reside that house but SHAITAN do love to reside there. The Holy Prophet (S.A.W.W) has said

"" When the Friday comes, at every door of the Masjid there stands Angels who write down ( the names of ) those who come First, then who comes next. When the Imam sits down, the records are closed and they come to listen to the reminder , i.e. the Khutba...." Muslim 1984.

So one should not wait for next day clean the filth or it will give an opportunity to Shaitan coming and staying at your house besides that "TAHARAT is half-part of Emaan".

A very pivotal point is that a Muslim even cannot offer his obligatory prayers with unclean body, clothes or using dirty premises. The Holy Qur’an instructs the faithful to ”keep their clothes clean” (74:4). They are also made to imbibe this very message that “Allah loves those who are clean.” (2:222)

Thirdly and lastly, I think there is is no harm in washing clothes or doing any other permissible work on Friday before Friday prayer or after Jummah but Buying and Selling (and other works i.e washing clothes or romaal etc) are prohibited from the time of first Call (AZAAN) of friday prayer. And on hearing the second call, one has to endeavour to go to the prayer, as it should be performed by every free Muslim male, in sound mind, resident and able, as Allaah says (which means):

O ye who believe! When the call is heard for the prayer of the day of congregation, haste unto remembrance of Allah and leave your trading. That is better for you if ye did but know. [Surah al-Jumua]

Resultantly, I don't know where you got that from , As there is a Hadith that Alsayeda Aisha says that the Prohpet (S.A.W.W) used to do regular things like chores and things like that and when the call to prayer was heard he would leave to go to the Masjid. (forgot it's referrence if anybody have plz mention it)

I am not a scholar but from the basics and above referred Hadiths, refrences and reasons I won't see any problem with doing regular works (includes washing clothes) at all even if it was some work from you job I do not think it is wrong ( Brothers and Sister- please correct me if i am wrong)

And Allah Ta'ala Knows Best
