All those poets mentioned in the syllabus of Punjabi.No, had no background knowledge of Punjabi.Vocabulary is something that gets better & enhanced when you study Punajbi again & again.One more concession is that the tone of speaking/Vocabulary (dialect) differs with respect to areas thus no need to stick to a particular/fix style.Writing punjabi is a challenge but here comes practice handy & dandy
So Punjabi is a good deal...!
