THE Lahore High Court on Monday sought reply from the federal government on a writ petition seeking relaxation in the upper age limit for candidates appearing in the exam of Central Superior Services (CSS).

Justice Ijazul Ahsan issued this order on a petition filed by Rai Ansar Ali and eight others. They pleaded through their counsel AK Dogar that they wanted to appear in the CSS exam but their applications were not being entertained on the ground that they crossed the maximum age limit of 28, a pre-requisite for appearance in the CSS exams.

The counsel pointed out that federal government through a notification in 2011 had awarded five years age relaxation for other jobs but the same was not being applied to the CSS exam. The petitioner said they were being discriminated which was a sheer violation of the Article 25 of the Constitution.

Fpsc may not allow age relaxation. but answer is yet to be filed by fpsc

@omer
are there only 9 people who approached A.K.Dogar for petition?is mr.Raees in those 8? in other thread of age relaxation there were more than 8 people who contributed,but only 9 were in the petition.
and if age is relaxed,it will be for all, not only these 9 people according to law.
