Sadia, please comment on my comprehension.

human fear of death


1. The main difference between human beings' fear of death and children’s' fear of darkness is that human fear is just a creation of the rituals and believes associated with human death whereas, children’s' fear is associated more with the darkness than the associated stories. Moreover, human fear increases with time whereas children’s' fear decreases with time as they grow up.

2. The religious view relates death as a punishment for a human being because of his acts in this world which let him enters in a new world.


3. Monks described in their books that after death the body experiences miserable tortures in order to purify soul from the sins that it made in the world.

4. Seneca describes death is that the ceremony of death is one of the major cause of human fear from death. Mourning dresses, weeping and lifeless face of the dead body increase the death fears.

5. The funeral ceremony is always full of tears and sorrow. The bloodless face of the dead body, colorless clothes and weeping of family and friends make death more horrible than it would be otherwise.
