I have personal experience of both Journalism and International law. Journalism is more a general subject and one can get grasp of it without too much of labour. Moreover, one does not need to have academic background in this subject to opt it. It has been high scoring as well with exception of CE 2010. Paper of journalism is becoming more aaand more general.

IL, unlike journalism is more technical and specific. Backgroung of Law and IR will be helpful if not necessary if one want to opt it. Paper of IL is set strictly set within syllabus guideline. It has been very rewarding subject over the years as well. It is more consistent than journalism with its scoring trends.

Books:

1. Tandon and kapoor's international law book
2. G. J Starke book on IL.
