The writer recalls a lesson he learned in his teenage when one day his father asked him to service the car in a garage nearby the village and promise to pick him in the evening. Whereupon leaving the car in the garage, the writer busied himself in a theatre and was late to pick the car back from the garage.He rushed at once to pick his father making excuse that the car took long to be repaired. Confirming from the garage, the reality, his father mourned the moment deciding to walk the 18 miles distance to home to think what went wrong in brought up of his son that he had to see his son lying to him. Seeing his father to travel the tiresome journey by foot, the writer learned the most painful lesson of his life not to lie again.
