My dear fellow, it is worth mentioning that if you want to become a topper then you have to do some extra work. Mere guides will never take you anywhere near to top position. I suggest you to clear your concepts by reading the original text of statute.
Read commentary books from renowned authors which the University itself refers.
Make your notes by preparing a topic from different books.
Use Internet and quote references from books with page numbers. give references from Black's law dictionary with page number.
Give Speaking, attractive and creative headings.
This technique earned me a Gold Medal in constitutional Law in Part 2 in my Institution
