Ajab is taur say yeh zindagi apni guzarti hai
Kabhi chat hi nahi hoti, kabhi samaan nahi hota

Kiya abaad hum ne dil ko yadon kay jazeeron se
Yeh ik aisa samandar hai keh jo veeran nahi hota

Meri azaad hain sochain hamesha qaid e mantaq se
Yahan woh ho bhi sakta hai keh jo imkan nahi hota

Kai toofaan jab simtain to banta hai phir ik aansu
Wo kya aansu hai jis main koi bhi toofan nahi hota

Milay ga kya tujhay zalim hamain aisay satanay se
Jisay tujh se na ho nisbat, gham e janaan nahi hota

Ajab si kash makash rehti hai apnay aap se humdum
Yahi wohi jung hai jis ka kabhi elaan nahi hota

Usay hum somp detay hain yahan ki mezbaani bhi
Hamaray dil main koi gham kabhi mehmaan nahi hota

Lahu deta hoon main unko hamesha dil ki shiryan se
Meri sochon ko bus is wastay yerqaan nahi hota

Kuch aisi par gai aadat hamain sail e hawadas ki
Keh ab to khauf aata hai keh jab toofan nahi hota

Saba yeh pul saraat aisa kai kamhon ka hasil hai
Kali say phool bannay ka amal aasan nahi hota
