I posted this article to highlight the issue of sexual violence against women. Jyoti's (indian rape victim) incident is an eye opener for all of us. What happened with her can happen with any girl because the laws, system and social stereotypes have tuned our minds to see women as a "sex symbol" and to humiliate them. Every person who called himself a "human being" has categorically condemned this act. but only condemning is not enough now. We should find the practical ways to stop such heinous crimes against women. I request all member to point out the reason for such acts and to suggest solutions to stop such acts which are slaps on the face of humanity.

Reasons for such acts:
1 Lack of quality education for all.
2 Inefficient law enforcement.
3 Low regard for women
4 Feudalistic school of thought.
How to end this culture:
1 Effective legislature to make an end to rape culture.
2 Realization of women violence.
3 Mass awareness for the Respect and Eqaulity of women.
4 Becoming an ally to women who are working to end all forms of gender violence.
5 Mentoring and teaching about how to be men in ways that don't involve degrading or abusing girls and women.
