u received Rs.1,000/ + Rs.500/= Rs. 1,500/ DEBIT
u purchased books Rs. 300/ CREDIT. 1500-300= Rs.1,200/ Balance
u returned Rs.200/ CREDIT and lost Rs.1000/

Total DEBIT Rs.1,000/ + Rs.500/ = Rs.1,500/
Total Credit Rs. 300/ + Rs.200/ = Rs. 500/
Lost Rs.1,000/

now u have to return Rs.1,300/ that is Rs. 1,000/ (Lost) + Rs.300/

Do not mix debit and credit. Just work separately.
