I have a confusion about thesis statement. For instance, i am writing essay on "failure of democracy in Pakistan". I take start like this "Democracy is the govt of the people by the people and for the people. This is what Ahraham linnlon said about democracy. There is no doubt that democracy is the govt of, by and for the people. It is the people that elect their representatives who in turn have to work for them. Its up to the people who they elect. Hence, people are sole responsible for the success and failure of democratic system. etc etc. " It means that i must focus on the factors relating to the people which led to failure of democracy?(Illiteracy, lack of political know how, ethnicity etc) or can i also mention other factors like corruption, political instability, military coups etc?

And secondly, in the essays like "Is internet a blessing?" should i write one sided essay or 50/50. means 50 pc on blessings and 50 pc on negative side?
