I interpretd it as he enthroned in 1451 so the start of his reign closed the period Mohammed bin Tughlaq (1426-1451). So, the examiner wanted to ask about Mohammed bin Tughlaq.
brother i believe it was about Firuz Tuqhluq and the End of the rule by Turks after him. This statement is a modified form of "The Death of Firuz", as Moreland observes, "marks the end of an epoch". K. Ali page 303
