Yes,restriction can be imposed but only for that business for which they are partner and not for any other business. In the question the word
ANY is ignored by many aspirants. I am afraid you also ignored the word
ANY. secondly, unfortunately, I could not study the word Invalid for any thing that is void or voidable in my study of law. Might be possible you are right, but chances of it are too grim.
