Introduction
EDUCATION plays a pivotal role in the development of a nation, as it contributes to the development of human capital. The majority of economists believe that a substantial proportion of robust economic growth seen in western hemisphere is explained by their sophisticated education system. However, in Pakistan the existing education delivery system has failed to meet the needs and aspirations of society. Low education standard, political influence, feudalism, high drop out rate, less allocation of budget, and infrastructural problems are some of the major factors that are badly hitting our economic growth, industries, agriculture sector, literacy rate, to name but a few . If we are to improve our education system we have to redress the balance for our future generation. Some of the steps toward betterment should be: increase in budget allocation, hiring of the teachers on merit basis, better environment in the schools, and elimination of political influence in the educational institutions etc.
