Energy is most important vehicle in the progress of economy of any country. Energy crisis is the shortfall of power, oil and water resources. Pakistan has been facing energy crisis since independence but still face energy crisis which become hindrance in the economy and development of country. Today Pakistan is facing an acute energy crisis specially power and oil. Pakistan is rich natural resources country; but lack of proper usage and utilization methods become poor country. As per estimation Pakistan is third largest coal reserve country. Solar and wind energy are more in coastal areas of Baluchistan and Sindh. Nuclear energy is also resource to attain electricity. Many flaws are behind energy crisis which are dearth of plants, power theft, inadequate electricity supply which cause severe load-shedding and victim of agricultre and industrial sector and price hike in oil price.Energy crisis lead poverty, unemployement and distrub domestic life. To overcome these crisis WAPDA ,KESC and Govt must take political consensus, exploration and utilization of natural resources to meet the demands of nation would become attaining the economic and social development.
