i think there is an error of idiom in this sentence.. wht u say?
take somebody's word for it
to believe that something is true because someone tells you it is, without making sure that it really is true (often in future tenses) If you say you've checked the money I'll take your word for it. Don't just take her word for it - go and see for yourself.
