Yes brother i have both my graduation and Masters in Literature. Definitely you can go for British history. The better thing about British History is that over the years is has not remained low scoring at least. If it does not give very high marks , at the same time it does not disappoint either. I myself have this subject in my combination. And one good thing for you is that the students of English literature find this subject relatively interesting and familiar one. The reason is that we have gone through the History of English Literature and various movements in English Literature during our Masters and Graduations courses. Therefore, while studying British History we keep on comming across familiar personalities and incidents. In my opinion , based on my personal experience, its a better choice particularly for the students of literature.
