No dear, I have just asked a friend of mine who is in Police and is cognizant with this issue, he said that SI are going to be recruited but no decision has been made about the DSP seats so far.

The Inspectors in line for promotion as DSPs are raising hue and cry, they are of the opinion that they have been serving in Police deptt for 15 years so it is their legitimate right to be promoted as DSPs rather than inducting them direct.

The Police bureaucracy is divided on that issue, an amicable solution is not reached so for. A formula to recruit a portion through direct recruitment and the other through promotions is also under consideration but so far nothing is certain.
