The question about Aligarh movement: what was your take on the Khilafat Movement in the context of Indian Nationalism?

Mine was that it dealt a death blow to Indian Nationalism since it introduction Religion in the mainstream politics. That was why Mrs. Annie Basant, Jinnah and several others opposed it while Gandhi etc. were in its favor.
