Is democracy an Ideal form of Government.

The democracy can be said as the form of Government in which the tenets, rules, commands and constitutions are made by the consensus of people and government together. It is said that the rules in democracy can be described as “to the people, by the people, for the people". One can gauge the success of democracy from many developed countries. It is been observed that most of the successful and developed countries are being governed through democracy.

Democracy gives us the right to raise our voice, all and sundry are given equal rights either one is from low level society or high level society. There are certain rules of democracy, some of them are like “one can vote for mere one leader”, “vote of every one will be of same level irrespective of society caliber”, “vote of an illiterate and illiterate will be equal” and some other rules are there too. Together these rules make a set of tenets and commandments which form a Government type which is really in juxtaposition with the perfection.

One must inculcate one thing, that nothing is perfect in this world. However the best thing can be said as perfect, like democracy can be termed as perfect form of Government. There are certain flaws in democracy which need some amendments according to Islamic tenets. One can have a look at western world; they have strong economy, best intelligence and defense and have a burgeoning literacy rate. Despite of all these commodities they have a devastated social system. They have allowed gay marriages and other commodities which are prohibited in our religion Islam.

Democracy should also have some limitations. Hence democracy is the ideal form of Government if some amendments according to Islamic tenets are made in it.
