An Army Officer cant marry until he is 26 yrs old or have 6 yrs of commissioned service, which ever is early. Once married, he will get residence, but for that he has to pay 45% of his basic pay. 45% at big cities like Karachi, Multan, Pinid, and 30% at small cities like Pano Aqil, Dera Nawab etc. So, the accommodation is not exactly 'free' as proposed by some.
