10.Believers
This is the Book; in it is guidance sure, without doubt, to those who fear Allah. (2:2)
Who believe in the Unseen, are steadfast in prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them; (2:3)
And who believe in the Revelation sent to thee, and sent before thy time, and (in their hearts) have the assurance of the Hereafter. (2:4)
They are on (true) guidance, from their Lord, and it is these who will prosper. (2:5)
The Messenger believeth in what hath been revealed to him from his Lord, as do the men of faith. Each one (of them) believeth in Allah, His angels, His books, and His apostles. "We make no distinction (they say) between one and another of His apostles." And they say: "We hear, and we obey: (We seek) Thy forgiveness, our Lord, and to Thee is the end of all journeys." (2:285)
For, Believers are those who, when Allah is mentioned, feel a tremor in their hearts, and when they hear His signs rehearsed, find their faith strengthened, and put (all) their trust in their Lord; (8:2)
Who establish regular prayers and spend (freely) out of the gifts We have given them for sustenance: (8:3)
Such in truth are the believers: they have grades of dignity with their Lord, and forgiveness, and generous sustenance: (8:4)
O ye who believe! give your response to Allah and His Messenger, when He calleth you to that which will give you life; and know that Allah cometh in between a man and his heart, and that it is He to Whom ye shall (all) be gathered. (8:24)
The mosques of Allah shall be visited and maintained by such as believe in Allah and the Last Day, establish regular prayers, and practise regular charity, and fear none (at all) except Allah. It is they who are expected to be on true guidance. (9:18)
- men and women are each others' friends and protectors
The Believers, men and women, are protectors one of another: they enjoin what is just, and forbid what is evil: they observe regular prayers, practise regular charity, and obey Allah and His Messenger. On them will Allah pour His mercy: for Allah is Exalted in power, Wise. (9:71)
- those who treat them badly
Those who slander chaste women, indiscreet but believing, are cursed in this life and in the Hereafter: for them is a grievous Penalty,- (24:23)
And those who annoy believing men and women undeservedly, bear (on themselves) a calumny and a glaring sin. (33:58)
Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. (85:10)
